IN SLEEP SHE KNEW

In sleep she knew he loved her In waking she knew he cared But when she saw him on the street today She thought that life's not fair She knows you loved her But why did you leave You didn't even give a reason So why does she believe That you still love her And never meant to make her cry She'll never be happy Without ever knowing why All she wants is a reason And then she'll be okay Then you can be happy with your life And she can go her separate way
